Sarah Louiselle created the greeting card company Denver Dog Designs in
2002. As she added other merchandise and began to have art
exhibitions, she eventually changed the webiste name to her own name.
Sarah has been painting and drawing since she was a very young child, a
fact she attributes in part to her parents' decision not to have a
television in their house.
In 2001, a sudden illness sparked a passion for flowers in
Sarah. She started by painting the lady's slipper that is the
state flower of her native Minnesota. Being a lover of nature,
she then went on to paint a plethora of other wildflowers.
Next up was a portrait of a friend's not-so-small,
really-quite-overweight black cat named Talulah. One day someone
commented: "she looks like a little Buddha when she sits like
that!" and voila! the "Buddha Cat Says..." series of cards
was born. |

There was another model Sarah used for her paintings; you guessed it:
Denver Dog! Denver is a happy-go-lucky, sweet soul. He
does not live in Colorado, as many would guess. No, Denver lives
in Minneapolis with Sarah's parents, who adore the music of John
Denver. Denver is especially dear to Sarah's heart, as she took
care of him throughout his teen years. He even brought her a
flower for Valentine's Day!
Sarah
continues to create new designs in new areas. Look for new card
designs often! Custom designs are also available; please contact
